The Next Generation of Media Filtration

The Nyos® TORQ® G2 is an innovative, high-performance modular system designed for all types of filter media, including activated carbon, phosphate remover (GFO), zeolite, and bio-pellets. By separating the pump base (Dock) from the reaction chamber (Body), the TORQ® G2 offers a level of flexibility and ease of use previously unseen in aquarium filtration.

Modular Design: One Dock, Multiple Bodies

The TORQ® system is built on a modular "plug-and-play" philosophy. The TORQ® Dock serves as the base unit with an integrated pump, while the TORQ® Bodies come in various sizes to suit your specific media needs.

Universal Connector: Any TORQ® reactor body can be inserted into the Dock, allowing you to scale your filtration up or down without buying a new pump.
Easy Media Changes: No more wrestling with hoses or thumbscrews. The Body simply lifts off the Dock for mess-free maintenance.
G1 Compatibility: The new TORQ® G2 components remain compatible with first-generation TORQ® hardware.

Key Features of the G2 Evolution

1. Precision Flow Control

By simply turning the lid of the reactor, you can seamlessly adjust the water flow. This allows you to set the exact tumble rate required for different media—from the gentle fluidization of GFO to the high-flow requirements of bio-pellets.

2. Two-In-One Filtration

Stop running multiple reactors. With the Body 1.0 and Body 2.0, you can use a chamber separator to run two different types of filter media simultaneously in a single unit.

3. Micro Grid Technology

Replacing traditional foam sponges, the innovative G2 Micro Grid offers several advantages:

Anti-Clog: Significantly longer run times as the grid does not clog as quickly as sponges.
Fine Media Retention: Better at keeping small-particle media contained.
Increased Volume: Provides more internal space for actual filter media.

4. Twist Lock & Water Injection

The G2 features new mini-bayonet closures (Twist Lock) for a secure, leak-proof seal on the lid and bottom. Additionally, the internal water injection has been optimized to create a more laminar flow, ensuring even contact throughout the media column.
