High-Purity Single Element Supplementation

Part of the completely revised ATI® ICP Elements lineup, this high-purity chromium solution is designed for the precise adjustment of element levels in reef aquariums. Developed and tested in the ATI® Lab in Germany, these solutions are ideal for both compensating acute deficiencies and maintaining daily element supply to ensure a balanced and biologically functional reef environment.

The Role of Chromium (Cr)

While chromium is a trace element with subtle effects, it is theorized to play a role in the complex enzymatic and microbial processes of a closed marine system.

  • Biological Activity: Chromium is associated with the activity of certain enzymes in invertebrates.

  • Microbial Support: It may influence the availability of micronutrients for bacteria within biofilms, supporting the biological foundation of the reef.

  • Common Causes of Deficiency: Low concentrations in standard salt mixes, a lack of targeted trace element supplementation, or permanent removal via protein skimming when bound to microbial biomass.

The ATI® ICP Elements Advantage

  • Laboratory Grade: Produced using only the highest grade raw materials, tested for purity by the ATI® Lab in Germany.

  • Transparency: Value-driven with clear cost-to-compare ingredients listed directly on the packaging.

  • User-Friendly: Features color-coded packaging to assist different skill levels (Beginner, Pro, Expert).

  • Certified Safety: Registered and compliant with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) and CLP Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 for health and environmental protection.

Dosage & Application

  • Concentration: The bottle contains 15,000 µg of chromium.

  • Standard Dosage: 1 ml per 100 liters (26 gal) increases the chromium content by 1 µg/l.

  • Safe Daily Limits: Increase chromium by a maximum of 0.5 µg/l (0.5 ml per 100 liters) per day.
