ATI® Essentials SPS | High-Performance Two-Part System
Professional Support for SPS-Dominated Aquariums
ATI® Essentials SPS is a highly concentrated, laboratory-grade two-part system engineered specifically for the demanding requirements of Small Polyp Stony (SPS) corals. Based on tens of thousands of ICP-OES laboratory analyses, this formula has been refined to provide optimal skeletal growth, accelerated metabolism, and the vivid, distinctive coloration that defines high-end SPS reef tanks.
Unlike systems designed for general use, Essentials SPS utilizes a specialized inorganic alkalinity source to maximize pH stabilization, providing the high-pH environment that sensitive Acropora and other stony corals need to thrive.
Key Benefits & Features
-
Optimized for High pH: Uses purely inorganic KH components to stabilize the pH at a higher level, promoting faster calcification and coral health.
-
Complete Elemental Profile: Supplies all major elements (Boron, Bromine, Calcium, Fluorine, Potassium, Alkalinity, Magnesium, Sulfur, Strontium) and essential trace elements (Cobalt, Iron, Iodine, Lithium, Manganese, Molybdenum, Nickel, Rubidium, Selenium, Vanadium, Zinc).
-
3.6x Concentration: Significantly more concentrated than classic Balling solutions, reducing the frequency of container swaps and saving space under the cabinet.
-
Balanced Ion Chemistry: Precisely formulated to maintain a natural seawater balance and prevent "ion shift" over long-term use.
-
Ready-to-Dose: No mixing or heating required; simply connect the bottles to your dosing pump.
Component Breakdown
#1 KH Complex
-
Concentration: 10,000 °dKH per liter.
-
Function: Maintains stable alkalinity and boosts pH.
-
Added Essentials: Contains Fluorine, Sulfur, Iron, Iodine, and Selenium.
#2 Calcium Complex
-
Concentration: 74,000 mg Calcium per liter.
-
Function: Replenishes calcium used during skeleton building.
-
Added Essentials: Contains Magnesium, Strontium, Potassium, Boron, Bromine, and 9 essential trace metals.
Dosage & Application
For optimal stability, dose equal or very similar amounts of both solutions throughout the day.
-
Guideline: 5–10 ml per 100 liters (26 gal) per day.
-
Precision Tuning: Base your dosage on your tank’s measured daily consumption of alkalinity and calcium.
| Daily Consumption | Dosage of #1 KH | Dosage of #2 Calcium |
| 0.5 °dKH | 5 ml / 100L | - |
| 1.0 °dKH | 10 ml / 100L | - |
| 2.5 mg/l Ca | - | 3.5 ml / 100L |
| 5.0 mg/l Ca | - | 7.0 ml / 100L |

Important Usage Notes
-
Storage: Store above 20°C (68°F). If crystals form in #1 KH Complex due to cold, gently heat to 45°C (115°F) or place on a radiator to re-dissolve.
-
Dilution: If operating in cold environments, both solutions can be diluted 1:1 with RO water (ensure you double the daily dosage volume if you dilute).
