High-Purity Single Element Supplementation

Part of the completely revised ATI® ICP Elements lineup, this high-purity rubidium solution is designed for the precise adjustment of element levels in reef aquariums. Developed and tested in the ATI® Lab in Germany, these solutions are ideal for both compensating acute deficiencies and maintaining daily element supply to ensure a balanced and thriving biological environment.

Why Rubidium (Rb) is Essential

Rubidium is an often overlooked trace element in marine aquaria, yet it is found in natural seawater and plays a specific role in the health of certain reef inhabitants.

  • Coral & Mushroom Health: Rubidium is particularly noted for its impact on corallimorphs. A deficiency is linked to the degeneration of mushrooms, including high-end varieties like "Bounce" mushrooms.

  • Biological Stability: While research into its full metabolic role is ongoing, rubidium is thought to support various cellular functions alongside other alkali metals.

  • Cost & Quality: Because rubidium is an expensive raw material, it is frequently omitted from budget salt mixes and trace element blends. Using a high-purity single element solution ensures your system is not deprived of this rare but important component.

  • Common Causes of Deficiency: Use of salt mixes or trace element mixtures that lack rubidium to save on production costs, and natural consumption over time.

The ATI® ICP Elements Advantage

  • Laboratory Grade: Produced using only the highest grade raw materials, tested for purity by the ATI® Lab in Germany.

  • Transparency: Value-driven with the total quantity of each item clearly stated on the packaging for easy cost comparison.

  • User-Friendly: Features a "traffic light" color-coded system to assign individual elements to different experience levels (Beginner, Pro, Expert).

  • Certified Safety: Registered with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) and compliant with CLP Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 for health and environmental protection.

Dosage & Application

  • Concentration: The bottle contains 75,000 µg of rubidium.

  • Standard Dosage: 1 ml per 100 liters (26 gal) increases the rubidium content by 5 µg/l.

  • Safe Daily Limits: Increase rubidium by a maximum of 25 µg/l (5 ml per 100 liters) per day.
