High-Purity Single Element Supplementation

Part of the completely revised ATI® ICP Elements lineup, this high-purity zinc solution is designed for the precise adjustment of element levels in reef aquariums. Developed and tested in the ATI® Lab in Germany, these solutions are ideal for both compensating acute deficiencies and maintaining daily element supply to ensure coral vitality and the well-being of marine fish.

Why Zinc (Zn) is Essential

Zinc is a fundamental trace element that serves as a crucial component in numerous biological processes within a reef ecosystem, acting as a cofactor for over 300 different enzymes.

  • Photosynthetic Support: Zinc plays a key role in carbon dioxide transport and fixation. A deficiency can lead to reduced photosynthetic activity in symbiotic zooxanthellae, directly impacting coral energy levels.

  • Coral Coloration: Maintaining proper zinc levels is essential for full color expression in SPS corals. Deficiencies often manifest as dull or muted skeletal and tissue pigments.

  • Fish Health & Recovery: Zinc is vital for the immune system and tissue regeneration in marine fish. Low levels can lead to wound healing disorders and increased susceptibility to infections.

  • Common Causes of Deficiency: High consumption rates during periods of vigorous stony coral growth, insufficient concentrations in standard salt mixes, or a lack of targeted trace element supplementation.

The ATI® ICP Elements Advantage

  • Laboratory Grade: Produced using only the highest grade raw materials, tested for purity by the ATI® Lab in Germany.

  • Transparency: Value-driven with the total quantity of each item clearly stated on the packaging for easy cost comparison.

  • User-Friendly: Features a "traffic light" color-coded system to assign individual elements to different experience levels (Beginner, Pro, Expert).

  • Certified Safety: Registered with the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) and compliant with CLP Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 for health and environmental protection.

Dosage & Application

  • Concentration: The bottle contains 150,000 µg of zinc.

  • Standard Dosage: 1 ml per 100 liters (26 gal) increases the zinc content by 10 µg/l.

  • Safe Daily Limits: Increase zinc by a maximum of 2 µg/l (0.2 ml per 100 liters) per day.
